In 2022, 2,791.7 tons of fish was produced in Georgia, in 2021 - 2,861.1 tons- the publication "Aquaculture in Georgia 2022" published by "Sakstat" reads.

In 2022, prices soared for almost all types of fish , except for white and spotted silver carp and Russian and Siberian sturgeon which price has decreased.

Fish prices in 2021-2022 have changed as follows:


The price of rainbow trout has increased from GEL 12 to 15.
The cost of carp and mirror carp increased from GEL 8.7- GEL 10.3.
The price of white amur rose from GEL 7.3 lari to GEL 9.
The price of white and spotted silver carp remained unchanged at GEL 5.4.
The price of Russian and Siberian sturgeon decreased from GEL 27.6 to GEL 26.
The price of European catfish increased from GEL 17.1 to GEL 19.3.
