In 2023 Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Georgia at current prices amounted to 80 882.8 million GEL. The largest share of GDP by regions are held by Tbilisi (52.7 percent), followed by Adjara A.R (9.5 percent), Imereti (7.8 percent), Kvemo Kartli (7.5 percent), and Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti (5.4 percent).
The largest share of the value-added of Tbilisi is held by Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (24.6 percent), followed by Real estate activities (11.6 percent), Construction (9.1 percent). In Adjara A.R the main sectors include Construction (14.0 percent), Real estate activities (13.8 percent), Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (10.5 percent), while in Imereti, the third region of Georgia in terms of value added, Agriculture, forestry and fishing (11.9 percent), Manufacturing (11.2 percent) and Real estate activities (10.8 percent) represent the main spheres of economic activity. Significant shares of value added are held by the following sectors in Kvemo Kartli: Manufacturing (18.9 percent), Agriculture, forestry and fishing (15.5 percent), and Public administration and defence; compulsory social security (8.9 percent).
