In September, the Lufthansa Group announced that it would be expanding its Airbus A220 wet-lease agreement with airBaltic , that sees the Riga-based carrier offering its aircraft across the airline group’s network.

Lufthansa already offers airBaltic-operated flights on its services leaving Munich during the summer seasons, while partner airline SWISS has been doing the same year-round from its Zurich hub.

Austrian Airlines will begin flights with airBaltic A220s in March.
