“Based on the data from the first three quarters, in the periof from January to September, our economy has grown by 7.7%,” Georgia’s Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze, stated at a government session.
The Prime Minister emphasised that further economic development will remain a central focus of the government’s agenda.
“According to the figures for the first three quarters, we have achieved a 7.7% growth. The International Monetary Fund has revised its forecast to 7.2%, but the latest data suggests we are likely to surpass even this estimate. Maintaining this momentum is crucial from all perspectives. Naturally, sustained economic growth also helps to stabilise the exchange rate. We are pleased to report that foreign exchange reserves have already risen to a record USD 5.6 billion this year.
I would like to once again express my gratitude to the National Bank and its President for their dedicated efforts. The stability of our currency is a direct outcome of sustained economic growth.
I want to emphasise the significance of ongoing economic growth and the importance of sustaining these rates. We also have new initiatives in development that will further support economic progress in the future. A significant new investment is already in the implementation stage, which will undoubtedly contribute to economic growth. Moving forward, we will continue to prioritise the economy, ensuring it remains at the forefront of our government’s activities,” Irakli Kobakhidze concluded.
