Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Davit Songulashvili, visited Gurjaani Municipality to observe the ongoing peach and plum harvest.

Peaches and plums are among Georgia’s key export products. Today in Gurjaani, we witnessed a successful harvest process. So far, exports have exceeded $16 million. This year’s yield is quite high, and the average market price remains stable. Export prices are also strong, which highlights the effectiveness of the agricultural value chain supported by the Agricultural Agency.

This system ensures a steady supply and helps maintain high prices, benefiting everyone involved—from cultivation to sale. This was clearly reflected in today’s meeting with local farmers,” said Songulashvili.
