In 2023, the import of gasoline and diesel fuel in Georgia amounted to 1208,9 thousand tons that is 58,6 thousand tons or 5,1% more compared to the same period of last year (1150,3 thousand tons)- the Union of Oil Product Importers reports.

In twelve months of 2023, the import of gasoline fuel amounted to 614,3 thousand tons, diesel imports stood at 594,6 thousand tons.

By categories, in January-March 2023, the import of gasoline fuel was as follows: A-91 R egular gasoline - 366,5 thousand tons (59,7%); A-95 Premium gasoline - 236,6 thousand tons (38,5%); A-98 Super gasoline — 11,2 thousand tons (1,8%).

The largest volume of gasoline and diesel was imported from Russia - 736,1 thousand tons that is 60,9% of all imports. Followed by Romania - 180,6 thousand tons - 14.9%; Azerbaijan- 84,2 thousand tons- 7%; Turkmenistan - 29,3 thousand tons - 2,4%; Belarus – 24,9 thousand tons — 2%; Greece- 23,5 thousand tons- 1,9%; Turkey- 17 thousand tons- 1,4%; United Arab Emirates- 2,2 thousand tons- 0,2%; Virginia Islands- 2,2 thousand tons- 0,2%; Switszerland- 1,3 thousand tons- 0,1% and other.
