In 2019-2022, Georgia earned $366.4 million from nut exports, the total export volumes exceeded 74.4 thousand tons.
"Sakstat" reports that the country earned more than $100 million from the export of hazelnuts, almonds, walnuts, chestnuts and pistachios last year. In particular, 22,029.1 tons of hazelnuts, 612.6 tons of almonds, 212.4 tons of walnuts, 736.3 tons of chestnuts and pistachios were exported from the country.
As for imports, last year Georgia imported nuts in the amount of 2.8 million, almonds worth $4.6 million, walnuts worth $5.3 million, chestnuts and pistachios in the amount of $2.4 million. The total amount of nuts exceeded 4 thousand tons.
