Rosselkhoznadzor will impose restrictions on the import of dairy products from Armenia. This was reported on the agency's website on July 24.

The ministry explained that the decision was made following an inspection of Armenian dairy processing plants conducted from July 14 to 21. The inspection revealed violations in the product traceability system, registration of veterinary documents, veterinary and sanitary examination of raw materials and production control.

"Taking into account the violations identified, the Rosselkhoznadzor has taken measures to prevent the introduction of particularly dangerous infections into Russia and the sale of unsafe dairy products on the domestic market," the publication says.

During the inspection, the use of milk from infected livestock in the production of products supplied to Russia was established. Cases of the use of raw materials from third countries in the manufacture of high-fat dairy products for the Russian market have also been confirmed.
