"I see no reason to launch this regulation,” Tsotne Japaridze, the founder of the travel company Traffic Travel, says commenting on the introduction of new regulations in the tourism sector.

According to the bill, combined tourism service suppliers are required to provide protection for possible insolvency.

Tsotne Japaridze believes that the new regulation may cause financial losses to individual guides and companies given not very favorable economic situation in Georgia.

“I see no reason for this regulation. This new regulation can bring losses to companies as the economic situation in Georgia is unfavorable, and additional financial or non-financial state control will create problems for people," he notes.

In his opinion, laws envisaging new regulations do no good to the country.

“I am against regulation and interference. We have two examples of the negative impact of the regulations. For example, a technical inspection, when we pay only for the car to be in order during the inspection, but the city still has the highest level of air pollution. The second example is bicycle and bus lines that could not solve the problem of chaos on the roads, vehicles contunue driving along the lines despite the ban,” Tsotne Japaridze stresses.
