Demand for our wine  in Portugal is growing every year. We have an representative in Portugal who promotes our wine in this market, - Ilia Meskhishvili, founder of LisiWine-Meskhishvili Winery located near Tbilisi, states.

According to him, LisiWine-Meskhishvili Winery's wine is gradually making a name for itself in the Portuguese market, and demand for their wine has increased by 20-30% compared to the same period of last year due to increased recognition.

In Ilia Meskhishvili’s words, apart from existing export markets, the winery is set to enter the American market.

"The LisiWine-Meskhishvili winery appeared on the market 5 years ago. The wine produced by the winery is sold both in Georgia and for export. In particular, our wine is sold on the markets of Portugal, Germany and Australia. We are in talks with the American side and I think that the negotiation process will be successful. It’s worth mentioning that the situation with logisticsis is quite complicated," says Ilia Meskhishvili.

The winery makes 7 types of wine, including qvevri and classical. These are mainly dry wines. As for the vineyards, the company has a 40-year-old vineyard in Kakheti with a good harvest. As Ilia Meskhishvili notes, high quality harvest ensures good wine.

In addition to wine production, the company owns a tourist facility that combines a wine cellar, a restaurant and a recreation area where customers can try traditional Georgian dishes and learn about wine production.
