A Russian Su-25 fighter-bomber has crashed into the sea near the town of Yeysk, local officials have said.
The pilot reportedly ejected successfully.
Unverified footage on social media appeared to show a parachute descending over the sea near a beach, and a large splash in the water.
The Russian town of Yeysk sits across the Sea of Azov from the Russian-controlled part of Ukraine's Donetsk region.
Officials from Russia's Krasnodar region said the pilot was rescued from the water.
