Russian Leader Vladimir Putin will deliver a speech at the Victory Day parade on May 9 in Moscow. This was announced on May 7 by Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.

"There will be a speech by the president, in general, everything is as usual, except for the demonstration of military equipment," he said.

According to Ushakov, military personnel will walk through the parade and planes will fly by. He also said that no special invitations had been sent to foreign leaders this year, but some foreign figures had expressed a desire to visit Moscow themselves.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on April 30 that the high-level representation of many countries at the Victory Day Parade shows that the guests share the importance of the May 9 holiday. In his opinion, Russia has not just allies, but states that are close in spirit and ideology.
