The White House has not yet scheduled a bilateral meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Davos, where this week the World Economic Forum is taking place.
According to an anonymous foreign policy expert from the Republican Party, Zelensky would very much like a personal meeting, while the White House is reluctant to hold it.
According to sources, Wednesday is considered key for discussing the Ukrainian issue, particularly in connection with the planned January 21 meeting of Trump with the leaders of the Coalition of the Willing who support Kyiv. They intend to ask Trump to endorse security guarantees previously agreed this month in Paris, as part of a broader U.S. peace plan.
In Davos on Monday, January 19, this year’s five-day World Economic Forum meeting began.
