President Donald Trump has confirmed that peace plan negotiations between the US, Ukraine, and the EU are scheduled for December 13. However, he doubts that Washington will actually attend the meeting, according to the White House broadcast.

According to the US. President, the US intends to achieve a result, so its participation will depend on this factor.

"Well, there's a meeting on Saturday. We'll see whether or not we attend the meeting. We said we'll attend the meeting if they think there's a good chance that they want me to attend," Trump said.

The President added that they want (presumably Europe and Ukraine) the United States to be present. Washington intends to help resolve the situation.

"They want us to attend, and we'll be attending the meeting on Saturday in Europe if we think there's a good chance. And we don't want to waste a lot of time. We think it's negative. We, you know, we want it to get settled. We want to save a lot of lives," the US President concluded.

On Thursday, December 11, Axios reported that on the 13th, Ukraine, the US, and the EU would hold talks in Paris due to disputed points in Trump’s plan.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated the same evening that Trump is already tired of meetings for the sake of meetings, so the US will send its representative to the talks only if there is a real possibility of signing a peace agreement.
