Barcelona may not be able to register new signing Dani Olmo at the moment but that’s not stopping the rumor mill from churning out gossip.

Fresh from reports that Barca are keen on Federico Chiesa, comes news that the club “will try” to sign Rafael Leao from AC Milan this summer.

Mundo Deportivo claim Leao is the latest in a long line of alternatives to Nico Williams but does at least acknowledge such a transfer would be “complicated.”

One thing that could help matters is the fact that Joan Laporta’s good buddy Jorge Mendes is the agent of the Milan star.

MD claim the agent can make “impossible operations feasible” and reckon Leao would happily swap San Siro for a move to Catalunya.

Leao is valued at around €90-100 million but Barca are said to still have the money available they wanted to spend on Nico, plus are hoping to raise finances by selling Vitor Roque, Mika Faye and getting Ikay Gundogan and Clement Lenglet off the wage bill.
