The Armenian subsidiary of Russian gas producer Gazprom (GAZP.MM), opens new tab said on Monday it will temporarily suspend supplies of natural gas from Russia to Armenia for 10 days while planned maintenance on its pipeline inside Russia is underway.
The suspension will run from September 15 to September 25, Gazprom Armenia said in a statement.
Domestic gas reserves and additional volumes from Iran will supplement Russian supplies during the shut-off period, the company added.
Landlocked Armenia relies heavily on Moscow for energy, with 82% of its gas imported from Russia last year, according to the Interfax news agency.
