“Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has a meeting with me today. Georgia is the most successful European country. I don’t know any other country as successful as you are,”  Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, said speaking to Georgian journalists in Copenhagen, where the European Political Community meeting is underway.

According to Orbán, Georgia is politically stable and its economy is developing rapidly.

We admire and are studying how you have achieved this success. Europe needs successful countries because, unfortunately, many of us are not successful—economies are paralyzed and stagnant. We need countries like Georgia to join the European Union,” Orbán added.

When asked about the fairness of Europe’s approach to Georgia, Orbán responded: “Brussels is definitely not the heart of fairness.”
