Direct flights between the capitals of Türkiye and Georgia - Ankara and Tbilisi - have been resumed, APA's local bureau reports.

The low-cost airline A Jet, a subsidiary of Turkish Airlines, has operated its first Ankara-Tbilisi flight.

The Georgian Airports Association said that the airline will operate four flights a week on the Ankara-Tbilisi-Ankara route.

Among the passengers on the first flight were Georgian Ambassador to Türkiye Archil Kalandiya and A Jet CEO Kerem Sarp.
