The European Parliament will vote on the report on Georgia, which will be presented by MEP Rasa Jukneviciene, rapporteur for Georgia. The relevant information is posted on the European Parliament website.
The report was supported by the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee on May 5 with 53 votes in favor and 14 against.
The draft report states that the European Parliament expresses its full solidarity with the Georgian people, “who continue to fight for a European and democratic Georgia against the backdrop of democratic backsliding, increasing repression, relentless hostile rhetoric, disinformation and threats.”
"The 'Georgian Dream' not only stopped, but actually changed the course of Georgia's European integration," reads the draft document.
