According to the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili, ambassadors are not invited to the inauguration of the President-elect Mikheil Kavelashvili.
According to him, he had not planned to invite representatives of foreign countries to the inauguration.
“Ambassadors are not invited... I had not planned to invite representatives of foreign countries to this inauguration. At the same time, of course, the hall also has certain limitations, although this is not the main factor. The main thing is that this is an official ceremony, which is important for the members of the Electoral College themselves to attend and for the constitutional bodies to be fully represented,” Papuashvili said.
For information, the inauguration of Mikheil Kavelashvili will be held in the session hall of the Parliament of Georgia on December 29.
