Tourism from the European Union to Georgia has failed to return to the pre-pandemic levels - in 9 months only 348,329 Europeans arrived in the country

In I-III quarter of 2024, 348,329 international visits were carried out from EU countries and Great Britain that is 5.9% more compared to the same period of 2023- the National Tourism Administration states.

"In January-September, 62,804 visits were made from Germany to Georgia that is 15.6% more compared to the same period of 2023, 25,431 visits were made to Georgia from Great Britain (a 12.5% increase), 22,768 international visits were made from France (a 21.3 % increase) compared to 2023, 20,500 international visits were carried out from Greece to Georgia (a 24.3% increase)," the Administration reports.

As a reminder, in 9 months of the current year, EU citizens made a total of 348,329 visits to Georgia that is 37,168 visits or 10% less than the pre-pandemic 2019 level.
