In January-July 2025, commercial banks and microbanks recorded a net profit of 1,822,589,000 GEL that is 264.1 million GEL more than in the first 6 months of this year and 75 million GEL more than in the same period last year. According to the consolidated report, the net profit of the financial sector for January-June was GEL 1.558 billion and for the first 7 months of 2024 stood at GEL 1.747 billion.
It is important to note that during the reporting period of last year, only 17 banks operated in the financial market, while this year saw the addition of 2 microbanks. According to data published on the NBG website, 4 banks reported losses in the first 7 months of 2025. The statistics from the NBG website reveal that the profit for the initial 7 months was distributed as follows:

• “TBC Bank” – 685.576 million GEL;
• “Liberty Bank” – 73.639 million GEL;
• “Basisbank” – 59.491 million GEL;
• “Credo Bank” – 47.091 million GEL;
• “Cartu Bank” – 23.049 million GEL;
• “ProCredit Bank” – 17.345 million GEL;
• “Tera Bank” – 17.272 million GEL;
• “Halyk Bank” – 10.079 million GEL;
• Microbank “Crystal” –9.940 million GEL;
• “Isbank Georgia” – 8.602 million GEL;
• Microbank “MBC” -5.047 million GEL
• “Ziraat Bank Georgia” – 3.745 million GEL;
• “Pave Bank” - 527 thousand GEL
•“Pasha Bank Georgia” - 226 thousand GEL
Regarding the banks operating at a loss, the figures for January to July of this year are as follows:
•VTB Bank: -40.759 million GEL
•Silk Bank: -13.024 million GEL;
•HashBank: 6.491 million GEL;
•PayseraBank Georgia: -765,000 GEL.
