In August 2023, Georgian commercial banks appropriated property in the amount of GEL 326.6 million as payment for overdue loans - the Financial Sector Review published by the National Bank reads.
According to the review, the value of property appropriated by banks increased annually by GEL 17.1 million.
At the same time, according to the NBG, in April the amount of loans written off amounted to GEL 35.1 million against GEL 28.8 million in the same period of 2022.
