Turkey remains one of the popular tourist destinations for Georgians in the summer of 2023. Most Georgian vacationers have already made their summer vacation reservations.

Georgian travel companies say that along with neighboring countries, Egypt and Greece are still in demand due to relatively low-budget holidays in these countries.

In the words of Ia Gedevanishvili, founder of Check in Travel, compared to previous years, the cost of tour packages has increased by 15-20% due to a rise in airline ticket prices.

“Travel prices have risen that caused an increase in the cost of flights, fuel and airport taxes. The average price of summer tours starts from GEL 1 400 per person.

This year, as well as last year, Turkey remains one of the most in-demand destinations

among Georgian consumers. Demand for Egypt, which was not active last season, also increased. This year 2/3 of travelers will choose Turkey again, 1/3 will travel to Egypt.

It’s worth mentioing that apart from these two destinations, Europe is also in demand, after Wizzair had restored flights, the cheap  European countries became a popular destination for Georgian vacationers,” Check in Travel director notes.
