In January-May 2023, Georgia's foreign trade turnover amounted to $8.3 billion that is 18.9% more than in the same period of last year. Exports amounted to $2.5 billion that is 18.6% more than in the same period of 2022.


According to the National Statistics Office, the first place among the top export goods is occupied by vehicles with $795 million, followed by copper ores and wine.

As of January-May 2023, Georgia’s top 10 export commodities look as follows:

Light vehicles – $795 million, a 316% increase
Copper ores and concentrates – 315 million (-32%3)
Natural grape wines – 103 million (+29%4),
Ferroalloys – $86 mln, (-69%)
Nitrogen fertilizers - 85 million (-44%(Alcoholic drinks - 68 million (+71%)
Mineral and fresh water - 52 million (26%)
Sweet and carbonated drinks - 45 million (96.9%)
Medicines - 41 million (-4%).
Georgia's largest export markets are Armenia ($360.0 million), Azerbaijan ($336.5 million) and Russia ($281.3 million).
