As part of the Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank in Washington, D.C., Governor of the National Bank of Georgia Natia Turnava and Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili held a meeting with IMF Executive Director Jeroen Clicq and Alternate Executive Director Marnix van Rij.
They were joined by Vice Governors of the National Bank of Georgia Ekaterine Mikabadze and Ekaterine Galdava, together with Deputy Ministers from the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economy.
During the meeting, participants reviewed Georgia’s current macroeconomic landscape, underscoring strong growth indicators.
They noted the National Bank of Georgia’s disciplined monetary policy framework, its contribution to price stability, and the resilience of the country’s financial system.
The dialogue also addressed key global challenges and risks.
Looking ahead, both sides affirmed their commitment to continued collaboration and the Mission’s forthcoming visit to Georgia.
IMF Executive Director Clicq expressed his anticipation for visiting Georgia as part of the IMF Mission.
