The average export price of one kilogram of hazelnuts reached $10.06 that is 69% higher than in the same period of last year.
The main exporting country of Georgian hazelnuts is Italy (3.7 thousand tons), followed by Spain (1.3 thousanUd tons), Germany (786.3 tons), and France (617.6 tons). Apart from that, Georgian hazelnuts are actively exported to Syria, Armenia, Greece, Russia, the Czech Republic, Poland.
Apart from that, the Ministry of Agriculture reports that Georgia exported 10,000 tons of apples, worth $7.3 million in the period from August 1, 2025 to January 13, 2026.
The average export price for one kilogram of apples during in the reporting period reached $0.73, marking a 15% increase from the same period of last year.
Russia was the top exporter with 9,197 tons, followed by exports of 540 tons to Turkey, 150 tons to Belarus, 83 tons to Armenia, and 21 tons to Iraq," the information details.
According to the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, from August 1, 2025 to January 13, 2026, Georgia exported 11.7 thousand tons of hazelnuts in the amount of $117.4 million. According to the ministry's data, compared to the same period last year, the volume of exported hazelnuts soared by 171.4 tons, the revenue amounted to $48.8 million (71%).
