According to the preliminary data, at the end of the II quarter of 2026 the number of bovine animals decreased by 5.4 percent compared to the I quarter of 2025 and reached 820.8 thousand heads. Of which, the total number of dairy cows and buffaloes equaled 380.4 thousand heads, which is 6.2 percent less than the same indicator of the previous year.

The number of pigs equaled to 171.9 thousand heads which is 5.5 percent less than at the same period of the previous year.

The number of poultry decreased by 4.8 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and equaled 10.6 million heads.

According to the preliminary data, in the II quarter of 2026 milk production decreased by 8.9 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to 168.8 million litres.

Meat production decreased by 12.1 percent from the same period of the previous year and equaled 18.2 thousand tons.

In the II quarter of 2026 egg production amounted to 178.2 million pieces which is 1.8 percent less than in the same period of the previous year.
