In 2025, Georgian seaports served 12.5 thousand passengers, which is 62.0 percent more compared to the previous year. Note, the share of passengers departed was slightly higher than the share of passengers entered and stood at 52.0 percent.

In 2025, ports and terminals of Georgia processed 16 637.6 thousand tons of cargo, 6.8 percent more compared 2024. 47.7 percent of freight carried was general cargo, 31.0 percent was liquid bulk, and 21.3 percent – dry bulk.

In 2025, 1 7891 ships entered the ports and terminals of Georgia. 50.9 percent of those ships were general cargo carriers, 23.6 percent were liquid bulk, 15.5 percent – container ships, and the rest of 10.0 percent were distributed among dry bulk carriers, tugs and specialized ships.

In 2025, compared to the previous year, the ports and terminals of Georgia received 40.4 percent more general cargo carriers, 38.8 percent more – specialized carriers, 2.5 percent more – dry bulk, 26.7 percent less – container ships and 16.6 percent less – liquid bulk.
