External Merchandise Trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to USD 8 360.0 million in January-May 2023, 18.9 percent higher year-on-year.
The value of export increased by 18.5 percent reaching USD 2 500.3 million, while the import increased 19.1 percent and amounted to USD 5 859.7 million.
The trade deficit equaled USD 3 359.4 million and its share in trade turnover constituted 40.2 percent.
