From August 1, 2024 to April 23, 2025, hazelnut exports from Georgia reached 16.0 thousand tons that is 20% more than in the same period of the previous year. The value of exports also increased by 26.5 million USD (36%) and amounted to $100.5 million.
From August 1, 2024 to April 23, 2025, the average export price of hazelnuts soared by 13% and stood at $6.29 per kilogram.
Georgian hazelnut exports are mainly carried out to the European Union markets. In particular, to Italy, Spain, Germany, France, Poland and the Czech Republic. Apart from that, hazelnuts were exported to Armenia, China, Turkey, Israel, Russia, Algeria and Morocco.
