The Federal Customs Service announced the breaking of the economic blockade of Russia. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the words of the acting head of the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia Ruslan Davydov.
“At Upper Lars, the economic blockade that the countries of Europe have imposed on us is now being broken. We are able to pass 15 million tons of cargo along the North-South corridor,” Davydov explained.
He clarified that last year, over 5.5 months in the region of the North Caucasus Customs Administration, FCS employees processed 5.6 million tons of cargo going in both directions, and for the same period of this year – already 7.8 million tons.
“I think that already this year in the North Caucasus we will exceed 15 million tons of turnover. We have more than 20 percent growth in trade turnover in Verkhniy Lars alone,” suggested the acting head of the service.
