The import of yachts and other floating equipment in Georgia increased by 267.7% in the last five years. As per Sakstat data, compared to 2019, the import of yachts and other floating equipment soared almost 4-fold.
In January-December 2023, Georgia bought yachts (yachts and other recreational or sports watercraft) worth $3,584,420 against $974,920 in 2019.
In 8 months of 2024, Georgia already bought yachts and other floating equipment worth $4.06 million.
The companies that import the larhest number of floating equipment to Georgia are as follows:
• I.M. Luka Chichinadze
• VITA LLC - Mikheil Tsuladze owns 50% of the shares of the company registered in 2013, 50% belongs to the company director Mikheil Bogveradze.
• Oceanus 3 LLC - the company registered in 2023 is owned by Luka Kirkitadze.
• Transporter LLC - 90% of the company registered in 2015 is owned by Sergo Shugarov, 10% of shares belong to Akaki Aladashvili.
• G-T Group LLC - the company registered in 2005 is equally divided into 33.3% between three owners: Giorgi Gvelesiani, Giorgi Tavdishvili and Temur Ustiashvili.
