Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, head of the Georgian Dream election staff, announced that the government will determine special statuses for innovative startups, small and medium enterprises, and research and development (R&D) companies, which will be eligible for tax benefits to stimulate growth in the technology sector.

"For example, this is the status of an innovative startup, the status of an innovative small and medium-sized enterprise, the status of a research and development company, and special tax benefits will be determined for these companies, which will stimulate the development of this sector. It is also planned to train and finance 160 startups every year, to train 12 thousand trainees. Artificial intelligence, phages, agro-technologies - these are three special fields, which the government will actively work on in the next 4 years, and here too we expect serious results", said Irakli Kobakhidze.

He also mentioned an upcoming presentation of the Kutaisi Technological Hub, to be located in the former parliament building in Kutaisi, which will serve as a modern technopark and host international tech companies.

"The Kutaisi technology hub will be located in the former parliament building in Kutaisi. A modern technopark, offices for relevant international companies, etc. will be located there. I will inform you about all this in detail in a few days", Irakli Kobakhidze said.
