Air Astana, Kazakhstan's largest airline group, has marked a milestone of 15 years of successful direct flights to Georgia.

The airline operated its inaugural flight between Almaty and Tbilisi in June 2011. Since then, the Group has progressively expanded its air network with Georgia, which currently encompasses both scheduled and seasonal flights.

During the peak summer tourist season this year, the combined flight frequency operated alongside FlyArystan reaches up to 44 flights per week. 

In the summer of 2026, Air Astana Group is offering a total of 25 weekly flights, while FlyArystan operates 19 weekly frequencies. According to airline, more than 270,000 passengers traveled on flights between Georgia and Kazakhstan in 2025, representing a 17% increase in comparison with the previousyear.

Air Astana notes that Kazakhstan is becoming an increasingly vital transit hub for passengers from Georgia, enabling them to travel onwards to Central Asia and other Asian destinations via Almaty and Astana. Air Astana has special programs for transit passenger, such as "Stopover Holiday" and "Mytour", areprovides valuable opportunity to see two counties in one trip.
