Passenger Traffic of Georgian Airports Grew 47% in Nine Months

In 9  months of 2017 the passenger traffic of Georgian airports increased by 47% and totaled 3 199 063 passengers.

 According to the Civil Aviation Agency under the Ministry of Economy of Georgia, the Tbilisi airport handled 2 440 067 passengers (+ 41.42%);

 The Kutaisi airport carried 324 677 passengers which is 77.82% more than in the same period of 2016 .

Batumi International Airport served 157 762 passengers, (+ 58.31%);

Mestia Airport served 2 900 passengers in  9 months (+ 93.40%).

Ambrolauri Airport has received passengers for the first time this year and has served 1,517 passengers from  the middle of January till the end of September. Due to increasing demand, the flight frequency grew  at the airport.
