Turkey is suspending lemon exports, including to Ukraine, from April 8 due to unfavorable weather and frosts. This decision aims to support the domestic market and prices.

The Turkish government has decided to suspend the export of lemons to other countries, including Ukraine, from April 8. This is reported by UNN with reference to the Turkish website Dogus.

According to a statement by the Turkish Ministry of Trade, the reason was unfavorable weather in citrus growing areas. Some parts of Turkey experienced cold weather, with frosts in some places. Therefore, in order to maintain the balance of demand in the domestic market of Turkey, it was decided to suspend the export of these citrus fruits.

The country's Ministry of Trade also stated that they are using "foreign trade policy instruments" to protect the production of Turkish products from negative factors, including speculative price increases.
