Satellite images of the Planet Labs service recorded the liquidation of educational tent camps on the territory of three main Belarusian training grounds, where Russian mobilized soldiers were trained, reports Belarusian service of Radio Liberty. It is not known whether they will be moved to other places or used for something else.
According to the report, we are talking about military training grounds near Baranovychy, near Lepel and Osypovych.
In particular, in the photo taken on July 4, 2023, the camp at the Obuz-Lesnovsky training ground near Baranovichi is actually no longer there, its analysis is ongoing. Satellite images show that the camp was dismantled no earlier than June 30.
The camp has been here since mid-October 2022, almost 9 months. At the beginning of March 2023, a rotation of mobilized Russian military personnel took place in the camp. Then a small number of tents were dismantled. It was clear that some of the tents were not inhabited. After that, almost no heavy military equipment was brought to the training ground. As of June 6, 2023, there were still about 150 tents in which about three thousand people could live.
Russian troops have been stationed at the Lepel training ground since mid-October 2022. The photo from July 4, 2023 shows that the tent camp at the landfill is also in the process of being dismantled.
Tents began to be dismantled no earlier than July 2. As recently as July 2, there were about 75 military tents here, in which about 1,500 people could live. The camp was also built in mid-October 2022. It stood for about 9 months.
