An old pub owned by the British division of the Dutch brewing concern Heineken has closed in the county of North Yorkshire in the north of England. This is reported by the British industry publication The Drinks Business.

According to him, the institution, opened in 1564, has been going through hard times in recent years. In 2015, its turnover decreased by 35% after the flood due to the closure of the bridge, which people usually used to get to the pub.

It is noted that the tenants decided not to renew the contract after the expiration date. According to The Drinks Business, the pub may reopen to visitors if the place is rented out.
