It is known that high-ranking representatives from Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia have already discussed this issue during the Arabian Travel Market exhibition, which started this week in Dubai.
The officials’ talks were devoted to the formation of uniform visa rules for GCC member countries. Fahd Hamidadin, director of the Saudi Arabian Tourism Authority, noted that a single visa for states in this region could bring big dividends. “The availability of travel in the Gulf countries will have a positive impact on the development of the tourism industry and the traveler will not have to face restrictions when crossing the borders,” the Saudi official explained.
GCC countries already have experience of close cooperation in the area of visas. In particular, we are talking about the FIFA World Cup, which was held in November-December 2022 in Qatar. So, Saudi Arabia during the World Cup provided two-month visas to fan card holders.
