Transavia France, a European airline, has commenced operations at Shota Rustaveli Tbilisi International Airport in April 2025.

Starting April 12, the airline operate regulars flights between Paris and Tbilisi three times a week, the United Airports of Georgia reports.

The first flight carried 163 passengers from Paris Orly Airport. The passengers were welcomed at Shota Rustaveli Airport by Levan Moseshvili, Director General of the Georgian Airports Association, Akaki Barkaia, Deputy General Manager of TAV Georgia, and other representatives of the Civil Aviation Agency and the sector.

Founded in 2006, Transavia Airlines is a Dutch low-cost airline and a wholly-owned subsidiary of KLM, thus making it part of the Air France–KLM Group. The airline operates from Paris Orly Airport.
