Russian air carriers have announced the imminent launch of flights to Georgia. On Thursday, May 11, RIA Novosti reported, citing a source in aviation circles.
“The start of flights from Russia to Georgia is planned for next week,” the source said.
Earlier it was reported that tourists abruptly began to look for air tickets to Georgia against the backdrop of news about the restoration of flights with Russia from May 15. Thus, interest in flights in this direction has grown seven times. Now the cost of a ticket with a transfer in June starts from 40 thousand rubles in both directions.
As a reminder, on May 10, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed decrees facilitating tourist travel between Russia and Georgia. Thus, the ban on air travel, which has been in effect since July 8, 2019, has become invalid.
