The export of natural honey in the 2nd quarter of 2024 has declined by 88% compared to the same period in 2023. According to the Aleko Papava, chairman of the Georgian Beekeepers' Association, a  sharp decrease in the product exports was caused by a low export price of honey on the European market as well as the increased demand for acacia honey which  harvest was small in Georgia this year.
