In October 2025, 194 active economic agents engaged in the organization of markets in Georgia and 35.1% of those agents were located in Tbilisi, while 16.5% were located in Imereti, 12.4% – in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, 11.3% – in Kakheti, and the rest 24.7% – in other regions.

Limited Liability Company (LTD) was the most common legal form for economic agents engaged in organization of markets with 74.7% share out of the total number of active markets. The share of Individual Entrepreneurs was 22.2%, and the remaining markets had the legal form of either Joint Stock Company (2.1 %), or the Cooperative (1.0%).

In October 2025, on average of 35.0 thousand persons1 were trading in the markets located in Georgia. 41.8% of those persons were trading in Tbilisi, 15.7% – in Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti, 9.5% – in Kakheti, 8.7% – in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, 7.0% – in Shida Kartli, 6.7% – in Adjara, 6.2% – in Kvemo Kartli, 2.4% – in Mtskheta-Mtianeti, 1.1% – in Samtskhe-Javakheti, and 0.9 % – in Guria.

According to the survey results, in October 2025, economic entities trading in markets in Georgia sold 384.5 million GEL worth of consumer goods (excluding vehicles), of which 25.9% represented the clothing and footwear commodity group, 23.3% – furniture and household goods, 21.0% –food and non-alcoholic beverages, 11.6% –the personal hygiene and other personal items group, 8.2% – spare parts for vehicles, 6.4% – the housing maintenance and security commodity group, and the rest were other leisure products (2.3%), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (0.6%), communication equipment (0.5%), and medicines and medical products (0.2%). The estimated turnover of economic entities engaged in the car vehicle markets amounted to 733.8 million GEL. According to the survey results, in October 2025, Tbilisi held 61.6% of total turnover of economic entities trading in market, while 15.5% of turnover was took place in Imereti, Racha Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti, 6.7% – in Adjara AR, 4.0% – in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, 3.9% – in Kvemo Kartli, 3.7% – in Shida Kartli, 2.1% – in Kakheti, 1.8% – in Samtskhe-Javaketi, 0.4% – in Guria, and 0.3% – in Mtskheta-Mtianeti region.
