The Georgian Civil Aviation Agency has issued permission to the Russian company Red Wings to operate direct flights to the country since June. Red Wings became the second airline from Russia, which received the right to operate direct flights to Georgia. A similar document was received by Azimuth Airlines on May 15.

“Since June of this year, Red Wings Airlines has begun operating on the Sochi-Tbilisi-Sochi and Moscow-Kutaisi-Moscow air routes. The airline is not on the black list of the European Union,” the agency said in a statement. The permission required for the flights was issued to the Russian airline on May 18.
