President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that Ukraine is making preparations for meetings in the United States with its partners.
Zelenskyy said that the meetings in the US will cover both negotiations and issues related to energy, weapons and food security.
"First, we're preparing meetings in the US with our partners. This concerns negotiations – bringing peace closer – and some other important issues, including energy, food security, and weapons. There will be new support packages for Ukraine, air defence in particular," he added.
It was reported earlier that Zelenskyy expects to meet US President Donald Trumpin the second half of September.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Heorhii Tykhyi confirmed on 16 September that Ukraine and the US are working on preparations for a meeting between Zelenskyy and Trump.
