In the last three months (July, August, September) within the framework of readmission, 1 070 persons were re-admitted to Georgia from EU countries.

According to the  Ministry of Internal Affairs, a total of 1074 applications for readmission were reviewed in the mentioned three months, of which 1070 were approved, and 4 were rejected.

It's worth mentioning  that the most of the decisions on readmission - 696 citizens - were made in Germany, followed by France (136), Switzerland (48); Greece (33); Spain (26); Poland (30); Italy (21); Holland (15); Austria (13).

Agreement between the EU and Georgia on the readmission of persons residing without permission was launched on March 1, 2011. On the basis of the agreement, Georgian citizens living illegally in the territory of the EU are returned to Georgia. The agreement also provides for the return of third-country citizens to Georgia.
