President Trump has announced a very ambitious plan to defeat the “deep state” and we want to wish President Trump success in this matter, - Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated at today’s government session.
According to Irakli Kobakhidze, success in this struggle will be of crucial importance for the normalization of Georgia-US relations.
According to him, Georgia wants to “qualitatively reset relations with the US and renew strategic partnership.”
“Today is an important day, the inauguration is being held in the US. This is a kind of turning point for the US. I would like to emphasize once again that the past 4 years have been quite difficult for our country, as well as for the whole world. There have been many crises, the war is still going on in Ukraine, in the Middle East. There is a severe economic crisis in Europe, pseudo-liberal propaganda has spread even more widely during these 4 years. Liberal fascism, which is a problem not only of our country, but also of various countries, has also acquired new development during these 4 years. Specifically, there were 4 attempts at revolution in our country during these 4 years. Unfortunately, there was no peace in the world and similarly, there were difficult processes in our country. We very much hope that the next 4 years will be qualitatively different, will be much calmer for the world and, of course, all this should be reflected in our country as well. President Trump has announced a very ambitious plan, this is the plan to defeat the “deep state” and we want to wish President Trump success in this endeavor. Success in this struggle will be of decisive importance for the normalization of Georgia-US relations. We very much hope that this fight against the “deep state” will end with the victory of President Trump, and this will contribute to ensuring peace in the world, in our region in particular, and will also contribute to the spread of correct and healthy values, instead of those that have been actively spreading throughout the world for the past 4 years. We can once again state our readiness to qualitatively reset relations, to renew strategic partnership with the United States. We hope that we will have significant successes in this direction. In this regard, 2025 will be very important,” the Prime Minister said.
According to Irakli Kobakhidze, 2025 will also be very important from a domestic political perspective, because “radicals must suffer a decisive blow.”
“Radicalism and liberal fascism must end in our country. This is absolutely important for the country to continue its unhindered development and achieve all the national goals that our country has set," Kobakhidze said.
