The abolition of the visa regime with Georgia is a humanitarian decision and one should not “run far” regarding the prospects for resuming diplomatic relations with Tbilisi. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov.
At the same time, we are not talking about a ban on tourists in Russia. Residents of the country will be able to stay in Russia for up to 90 days. Passport will suffice for travelers.
