"We are genuinely interested in taking concrete practical steps to promote cooperation in the region. Georgia proposes a trilateral cooperation initiative that involves the participation of all three South Caucasus countries in various sectors," Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated during the opening of the 10th session of the Georgia-Azerbaijan Intergovernmental Economic Cooperation Commission.

According to the Government Administration, Kobakhidze highlighted that the session would foster dynamic cooperation between the two countries.

"It is a great honor for me to be in Baku today, a city that amazes us with its beauty and pace of development every time we visit. I am pleased to have the opportunity to co-chair, for the first time, the 10th Georgia-Azerbaijan Intergovernmental Economic Cooperation Commission. I am confident that today’s session will identify new opportunities for expanding cooperation between our countries, making our strategic partnership even more dynamic and productive.

I would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate Azerbaijan on successfully hosting the 29th Conference of the Parties (COP-29) under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. I was delighted to participate in COP-29's proceedings. Once again, I want to reaffirm that Georgia and Azerbaijan firmly support each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and I want to thank you for this," the Prime Minister said.

Kobakhidze noted that in the context of rapidly changing and challenging geopolitical conditions in the region and the world, peace and stability take on even greater importance as key prerequisites for regional development and sustainable prosperity.

"I am confident that through joint efforts, we will not only overcome all challenges but also seize the existing opportunities for more effective cooperation. We are genuinely committed to implementing practical steps to foster collaboration in the region. Georgia proposes a trilateral cooperation initiative involving the participation of all three South Caucasus countries across various sectors," the Prime Minister emphasized.
